Intel Job Cuts and Restructure

Intel said it plans to reduce its core workforce from 99,500 to about 75,000 — roughly 24,000 positions — as part of CEO Lip‑Bu Tan’s push to streamline the company. Tan said Intel will only build factories when there is demand and will retreat from costly projects in Germany and Poland and end assembly/test operations in Costa Rica. The restructuring is aimed at cost discipline and aligning capacity with demand.
