Retail Sector Faces Significant Store Closures
Major U.S. retailers, including Rite Aid, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, and CVS, are set to close numerous stores in June due to economic pressures such as inflation, labor costs, tariffs, and the rise of e-commerce. Rite Aid plans to shutter 151 more locations, Dollar Tree is closing approximately 1,000 Family Dollar stores, and CVS is set to close 271 stores as part of restructuring efforts.
